Hackdemonium: the hackathon made for students by students

Please join us on the weekend of October 7th-9th for an exciting and fun-filled hackathon. The hackathons inveites both hackers of every experience level: from beginner to advanced. We really hope to see you there!

Mission

Empower students to explore the many aspects of computer science and inspire them to create change through code.

Vision

Create interest in the STEM field from an early age to inspire ideas that will change the world.

We hosted over 200 hackers and were able to deliver 20+ insightful and impactful workshops.

Frequently Asked

A hackathon is an event where people come together to collaborate to make programming projects to address real-world issues. You should attend because it is a great opportunity to solidify your coding skills, meet new people, create solutions to important issues, and have fun!
Any current middle or high school student is welcome to attend. Hackdemonium is a place for both new and experienced coders. International students are welcome.
Yes! We will be offering workshops on how to create websites and apps. You can also contribute to your team in other ways that do not involve coding, such as graphic design or presentation.
Nothing, except maybe your sleep! Hackdemonium is 100% free. All you need is a computer or other device and stable internet connection to attend.
You can participate solo or with a team. If you don't have a team when you sign up, don't worry! We will be having a team creation event to help participents form teams. Teams are limited to 4 people maximum.
Submissions will be judged on creativity/originality, technical complexity, user friendliness, presentation, and impact. For more details check out our Devpost page.
We don't have a theme so you can make whatever project that interests you.
Prizes will be announced during the opening ceremony. All prize categories are listed on our Devpost page.
Yes, both hardware and software hacks are allowed.
No, all projects must only be started after the opening ceremony and can only be submitted to Hackdemonium.
